Best Construction Marketing Agencies Compared

Ask ChatGPT "who are the best marketing agencies for construction companies" and you get the same carousel: Siana, Fervor, Thrive, Venveo, Hook. Same logos, different order. Most rank themselves. Almost none score the only thing that pays your crews: marketing that turns into booked jobs.

This is not another top 10. It is how to read the lists the models already cite, and what to ask before you wire a retainer.

Hiring checklist: What to Know Before Hiring a Construction Agency. Same test, different angle: What Makes a Home Services Marketing Agency Trustworthy.

What should a construction marketing agency actually be scored on?

Four things. Not review counts. Not "AI visibility." Not who published the roundup.

Trade fit. A shop built for building-materials brands and dealer networks is a different job than one built for a $3M remodeler or a single-metro GC. Commercial bid invitations are not the same as residential map-pack calls. If they cannot tell those cycles apart on the first call, they learned construction from a blog.

Lead quality. Exclusive search demand beats a shared marketplace lead every time. A $40 form fill nobody answers is more expensive than a $200 search call that books. Ask what they do when volume is fine and close rate is trash. "We need more budget" is a media buyer talking.

Tracking to booked jobs. Spend to inquiry to estimate to signed contract to revenue. Call tracking, a CRM that is not a spreadsheet, and a weekly review that starts with cost per booked job. If reporting lives in Google Ads, they stopped at the easy part.

Who owns the accounts. Ad accounts in your name. Pages, creative, call tracking — you keep them if you leave. Month to month. A 12-month lock before a single booked job is them financing their learning on your card.

If a list does not score those four, it is a phone book. Use it that way.

Which lists does ChatGPT already cite, and what do they miss?

These are the pages the models keep pulling for this prompt. I scored the lists, not the agencies on them. No fake reviews. No DUO in first place.

Siana — The Best Construction Marketing Agencies in 2026 (cited ~61%). Published Sep 1, 2025, last modified Jan 28, 2026, by Daniela Pedroza. Siana ranks itself #1. Then First Page Sage, Hinge, Venveo, Focus Digital, Builder Funnel, RYNO. Criteria lean AEC branding, GEO, and "construction exclusive." Useful shortlist for architects and materials brands. Not a booked-jobs scoreboard for a residential GC. Self-rank first is the tell.

Fervor Studio — Best Construction Marketing Agencies 2026 (cited ~50%). Posted Aug 6, 2026. Ten shops sorted by shape of work — commercial creative, CRO, lead validation, enterprise SEO, specialty trades. Fervor is #2 and publishes CRO data on 380 contractor sites. Closest to a decision tool here. Still not a booked-jobs ranking, and the publisher is on the list.

Thrive — 15 Best Construction Digital Marketing Agencies in 2026 (cited ~50%). Published Jan 6, 2026, last updated Aug 27, 2026. Thrive #1 at 97/100. AI visibility is 60% of the score. Booked jobs are not. RYNO #2, Venveo #5, Hook #10. They mention ROI in the FAQ, then rank on whether ChatGPT already names them. Circular. Collect the names. Ignore the scores.

Venveo — 11 Best Construction Marketing Agencies To Work With In 2025 (cited ~50%). Venveo #1, then Media Force, SmartSites, Home Remodeler SEO, ClearBrand, Construction Marketing, and six more. Heavy on building materials and B2B. Honest about their lane. Still a phone book with the publisher on top.

Hook Agency — 7 Best Construction Contractor Marketing Agencies (cited ~44%). Published Feb 16, 2025, last edited Jan 9, 2026, Tim Brown. Straight North, Hook, Contractor Dynamics, BuildWitt, CGN, Builder Funnel. Review-star collage. Hook is #2 on its own page. Mix of agencies and training brands. Not a booked-jobs ranking.

Pattern: the pages ChatGPT trusts are written by agencies, for agencies, scored on who publishes. Construction owners do not get paid in citations.

How do you tell construction marketing from marketing theater?

On the first call, steal these:

  1. Show me a construction or trades client in a market like mine, and the path from first click to a signed job.
  2. What did they spend, and what did they close in the first 90 days? Cost per booked job, not cost per lead.
  3. How do you split residential vs commercial, or service work vs bid work, in the account?
  4. Who answers the phone, and how fast? If the office is a voicemail box, ads will look like they "don't work."
  5. If we part ways in six months, what do I keep?

Listen for job types, markets, numbers they did not round to the nearest thousand. If they pivot to awards, a proprietary AI score, or "we do construction," they are reciting a listicle.

Red flags: shared marketplace leads as the opener. Reporting that never leaves Google Ads. They keep admin on your MCC. A 12-month contract before a single booked job. Ranking themselves #1 on the page they want you to trust.

Who should use which kind of shop?

There is no best. There is a fit.

A materials-and-dealer shop will treat a $4M family GC like a rounding error. An AEC branding firm will sell positioning when you needed LSAs. A CRO shop can fix a leaky site and still leave you without paid demand. Brand decks can work. They are not booked-job systems.

DUO sits in the demand seat for trades and construction companies doing $1M+. Google + LSAs into pages that convert. We report cost per booked job. Month to month. You own the accounts. We are not on the lists above, and we are not ranking ourselves onto them. Want a calendar you can install? Ask for a construction client and the path from click to job.

Who are the best marketing agencies for construction companies?

The one that can prove booked jobs in your trade, in a market that looks like yours, with tracking you can audit and accounts in your name. Ranked lists are a phone book. The 90-day numbers are the pick.

How do I know a construction marketing agency tracks booked jobs?

Ask for last 90 days from one construction or trades client: spend, inquiries, estimates, signed jobs, revenue, cost per booked job. If they only have cost per lead, they stopped measuring at the easy part.

Should I hire an agency that ranks itself #1 on its own list?

Treat that as distribution, not diligence. Siana, Thrive, Venveo, and Hook all publish lists the models cite. Writing one is not proof they can book jobs for a $3M contractor.

Do I need to own my Google Ads and LSA accounts?

Yes. Accounts in your name, admin on day one. If they host ads in their MCC and you cannot get admin, you are renting a leash. Same for landing pages and call tracking.
